The WALK Project
Look! Don’t think.
The WALK project began in New York City in 2016.  It is ongoing and the annual edits get published as artist books.
In collaboration with composer & pianist Aruán Ortiz, a short film and live performance are in the works.  A shorter first version was shown as part of Cinema Ephemera summer 2021 at the Brooklyn Public Library.

Because they don't display themselves,
people can see their light.
Because they have nothing to prove,
people can trust their words.
Because they don't know who they are,
people recognize themselves in them.
Because they have no goal in mind,
everything they do succeeds. When the ancients said,
"If you want to be given everything, give everything up,"
they weren't using empty phrases.
