Mission

I am a photographer drawn to capturing our last universal ritual. My purpose is to free images from expectation and show my subjects simply as they are.

Some people are initially unsure about what role I play in my clients’ celebrations, and that’s completely understandable. What I do sits outside the typical. By immersing myself in the day and building genuine connections, I can create images rooted in participation, trust, and intimacy. These aren’t editorial or commercial works—they are honest portraits of humanness, captured through shared experience.

Collaboration in Practice

Building mutual trust with my clients is essential to my work. By taking the time to get to know you, I can notice and preserve the small, in-between moments that make each partnership unique. I immerse myself in the celebration so that my images reflect the perspective of family and friends, not that of an outsider.

Each collaboration begins with a conversation and casual portraits. We will get to know each other and find the approach that makes you feel most comfortable.

On the day of the celebration, I am the photographer whom some people will mistake for a guest. Even though I sit amongst family and friends, I am always photographing and always moving, capturing moments from the inside.

Afterwards, we will meet in person for an informal unveiling of your handmade folio. This is a moment to celebrate our collaboration and discuss creating a custom artist book. I build lasting relationships with my clients that often turn into future collaborations.

These are the fundamentals of my approach. Let’s meet or chat on the phone so that I can answer any questions you may have.
